Sponsored by the Embassy of Argentina and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, this month-long festival brings you everything tango!

Maestro Buslje leads his string musicians in an evening of Piazzolla’s nuevo tango, introducing PASO’s new concertmaster, Holly Nelson. Enjoy some of Piazzolla’s best: Vardarito, Escualo, Tango Ballet, and others.

CUARTETO ROTTERDAM Milonga del Festival
Celebrate the 2024 DC Tango Festival with an evening of live tango music by the talented Cuarteto Rotterdam from Berlin, Germany. These four musicians perform tangos of the Golden Age of Tango from the 1940’s, highlighting the style of the grand orchestras of Di Sarli, Troilo, D’Arienzo, Pugliese, and Salgán, plus adding some contemporary tangos from Argentina and Europe.
Bring your tango dancing shoes and join them at the elegant ballroom at the Embassy of Argentina.

Minimal registration fee of $20 for all 4 classes !!!

Wednesdays 6:30 PM-7:30 PM
Dance tango in four lessons! Classes are for beginners and should be taken in order as each class builds progressively on the class before it. Do not wear tennis shoes or shoes with rubber soles. Must attend with a partner; no singles. Limited capacity.

PASO’s popular signature tango show returns to the Kennedy Center with 30 musicians, 2 bandoneón players, and three pairs of award-winning international tango dancers.
