Based in Washington, DC, the orchestra was founded 30 years ago by Argentine Maestro Sergio Alessandro Buslje, who noticed that orchestras rarely performed music by Latin American composers. Since then, the orchestra, known as PASO, has premiered new works by Latino composers and regularly performed music by Latin American greats. But where PASO has really made its mark on the concert scene is with its sell-out tango shows- spectacular high-energy performances of traditional tangos and nuevo tango, many arranged by Maestro Buslje himself.
