Concierto Andalouse
Joining PASO for a riveting
performance of Spanish and Arabic music is the Middle East’s
most famous oud (Arabic lute) player, folk singer, and classical composer,
Marcel Khalifé. Suite Andalouse, Khalifé’s own composition that blends traditional Arabic
musical traditions with Spanish flamenco elements, moves the listener with its
intense and poetic beauty. Khalifé’s son, Bachar, joins him on percussion. Complementing the Spanish-Arabic theme,
Maestro Buslje brings back an audience favorite – Manuel de Falla’s Nights in the Garden of Spain and Jota from Sombrero de Tres Picos.
